Mead Lake Ice Fishing Contest a success

Mead Lake was a buzz of activity Saturday, Feb. 1 as ice fishing contest goers braved the wind to support a good cause. With no entry fee to compete and food and refreshments available in the on shore warming shelter, the Loyal Sportsman’s Club hosted ice fishers from around the area. Included in the day’s events at Mead Lake were a meat raffle, door prizes, a 50/50 raffle, and gun raffles as well.

Winners for fishing categories were as follows:

Crappie

Jare Gralke  12 3/4 inch

Ever Rueth - 12 1/2 inch

Blue Gill

Josh Michler - 9 inch

Colter Sundelier - 8 1/2 inch

Bass

Kede Hinker - 18 inches

Ross Zvolena - 17 inches

Perch

Brandon Willene - 12 1/2 inches

Kitty Shotlriff - 10 3/4 inches

Bullhead

Jenny Olson - 12 inches

Bentley Suchomel - 11 inches

For the cash raffle, the following won prizes:
