Throughout the first months of the year, youth from all over Clark County attended a series of classes sponsored by the Clark County 4-H Shooting Sports Program. The Air Rifle class, which concluded on February 10, taught students basic gun parts, different shooting positions, and - most importantly - gun safety, all wrapped up in a variety of fun target shooting activities. Justin Kloth led the course.
The archery course concluded on March 17. The class, divided into beginner and intermediate courses, taught students the parts of a bow and arrow, proper shooting form, and bow safety. Youth participated in a variety of target shooting activities and fun games. Justin Kloth and Bayli Christorf led the course, assisted by Heidi Bower.
We would like to give a big thank you to the Black River Sportsmen's Club for allowing us the use of their facility. We would also like to send a big thank you to the Withee A&W for donating ice cream coupons as well as the Withee BP for their donation of pizza for the end of class parties.
