The American Red Cross Blood Drive was held on Tuesday, October 6, at the Clark County Rehabilitation & Living Center in Owen. The drive collected a total of 59 units exceeding our goal by one unit. Donors reaching milestones were Constance Rybski, 14 gallons; Noel Barteck, 10 gallons; Dennis Looker, 9 gallons; Allen Zimmerman and Faye Schraufnagel, 6 gallons; Marie Sauder and Julie Plautz, 3 gallons; and Barbara Finkelson and Alyssa Graski, 2 gallons. Our first time donors were Dorothy Bjornstad, Bethany Martin, Etta Martin and Marlene Wilson. Thank you to all who took time from busy schedules to give the gift of life!
Our dedicated volunteer workers for the blood drive were: Carol Oryszczyn, Sister Margaret Trzebiatowski, Che Che Myher, Shirley Lehr, Chriss Plautz, Shirley Brecht, Sue Sholes, Laurie Shilts, John and Linda Barna.
THANK YOU: Immanuel Lutheran Church, Longwood, for a delicious selection of homemade bars, Che Che Myher for crackers, Clark County Dairy Promotion for the milk, Red Cross for the packaged treats, water and juice. Prevail Bank for napkins, Nasonville Dairy for the donation of the cheese trays, and Clark County Rehab and Living Center for the use of their facility.
