The American Red Cross Blood Drive was held on Tuesday, October 7, at the Clark County Rehabilitation & Living Center in Owen. The drive collected a total of 48 units, short of the goal of 65 units. Donors reaching milestones were Norman Hoover, 14 gallons; Barbara Hansen, 8 gallons; Mary Niemi and James Rasmussen, 6 gallons; Jay Nolt 4 gallons; and David Lato, 1 gallon. Our first time donor was Sharon Scheinost. Thank you to all our donors!
Our dedicated volunteer workers for the blood drive were: Carol Oryszczyn, Sister Margaret Trzebiatowski, Sue Pries, Chriss Plautz, Marge Oryszczyn, Shirley Brecht, Sue Scholes, Dottie Bjornstad, Laurie Shilts, John and Linda Barna.
THANK YOU: United Church of Christ for all the delicious baked goods, Clark County Dairy Promotion for the milk, Red Cross for the packaged treats, water and juice. Prevail Bank for napkins, Nasonville Dairy for the donation of the cheese trays, and Clark County Rehab and Living Center for the use of their facility.
The next blood drive will be Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in the multi-purpose room at the Clark County Rehabilitation & Living Center in Owen. Schedule an appointment to donate blood to meet the goal of 58 units before celebrating the New Year. If you can’t keep your appointment, please cancel 24 hours in advance so someone else may fill that spot. You can use Rapid Pass to make appointments and also speed up the donation process. For appointments or to volunteer, please me a call at: 715-229-4320.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Your gift of blood is the greatest gift you can give someone!
Again, to everyone who helped in any way, thank you for the GREAT job! Together we are saving lives.
