City of Owen holds their Organizational Meeting

The city of Owen held their annual Organizational Meeting on Tuesday, April 15. Prevail Bank will continue as their official depository and the Enterprise Sentinel & Rural News will be the official newspaper. Pam Jaffke was re-elected to the position of Council President.
Committee appointments took up the main portion of the meeting. Committee appointments are as follows:
Planning/Zoning Commission: Ray Kilty, Brian Bredlau, John Mauel, Chad Smith, Kyle Wesaby, Dan Renderman, Mark Schmidt
Zoning Board of Appeals: Jason Thornton, Paul Heggemeier, Dennis Lulloff, Jeff Petersen. The Zoning Administrator position is currently vacant and Paul Heggemeier will step down as soon as a replacement can be found.
Ordinance Committee: Chief of Police Patrick Fehlman, Mayor Scott Jalling, DPW Chad Smith, Brian Bredlau. The Zoning Administrator position is currently vacant.
Sewer Commission: Billy Nelson, Dave Booth, John Mauel, Derek Schad, Chad Smith, Matt Bottlemy. The Kerry Ingredients representative position will be filled by a variety of Kerry employees.
O-W Police Committee: Owen’s representatives are Pam Jaffke, Bob Wilczek, and Jason Thornton.
Police Discipline Committee: Wade Hatlestad, Cindy Knight, Jeff Petersen. Withee will appoint two representatives. Currently they are Chris Lulloff and Dan Hiipakka.
Library Board: Loralee Petersen, Scott Jalling, Debra Smith, Sally Martine, Linda Plautz, Jennifer Scheuer, Roxanna Reitz, Nikki Hall
Downtown Revitalization Committee: Ken Martine, Tim Swiggum, Adam Carr, Toby Wantlin, John Heil, Cindy Cardinal, Carey Hargot
Finance Committee: Pam Jaffke, Bob Wilczek, Jason Thornton
Personnel Committee: Bob Wilczek, Pam Jaffke, Ken Martine
Parks and Recreation Committee: Ray Kilty, Lonnie Kroeplin, Bob Wilczek, Rick Nelson, Jim Scheuer, Scott Jalling, Rocky Lehr
Tree Advisory Board: Ray Kilty, Terry Plautz, Matt Riihinen, Mary Lynn Kiviko, Jenny Parsons
Emergency Management: Chief of Police Patrick Fehlman, Travis Serocki, Tracy Rau, Chad Smith, Scott Jalling
Pam Jaffke will represent the city on the O-W Area Development Corporation; Jason Thornton will represent the city on the Owen-Withee Fire District Board, with Ken Martine being the alternate. Scott Jalling will represent the city on the Riverside Cemetery Association, Clark County Economic Development, and United Communities of Clark County. Bob Wilczek will represent the city on Clark County Tourism; and Chad Smith will represent the city on the County Municipal Street Improvement Program.
Chief of Police Patrick Fehlman will act as the Local Emergency Government Director and the ADA Local Director.
