The Chippewa Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America, is set to host its Clark County Disc Golf for Scouting event on Thursday, September 26, 2024. The disc golf fundraiser, sponsored by Forward Bank, will take place at the picturesque 18-hole course at Five Seasons in Willard.

This unique fundraising event aims to support Scouting activities in Clark County and surrounding areas in northwest Wisconsin. Participants can enjoy a round of disc golf while contributing to a cause that encourages young people to reach their full potential, improve their communities, and build strong family values and character.

"We're excited to bring together disc golf enthusiasts and supporters of youth programs for this event," said Angela Woofter, Development Associate for the Chippewa Valley Council, BSA. "It's a fantastic opportunity for people to have fun and make a difference in the lives of local youth."

The event offers flexible tee times between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., accommodating various schedules. Participants can register as teams of four or as individuals.

Newcomers to disc golf need not worry. The organizers will provide instructional training on basic disc golf techniques for those arriving early to their tee times. Five Seasons will have discs available to borrow for the round.

The event will feature food and beverages, a player pack which includes a disc and other goodies, raffle baskets, and prizes for hole specific challenges – adding to the day’s excitement.
