Meet Windy, the CCHS Pet of the Week! Windy came to CCHS with her brothers and sisters from a local farm where there were too many puppies to find homes for. There are seven of them in the litter, and all are wonderful puppies. They are ¾ Shepherd and ¼ Heeler. They were born on 12/1/23, so are now about 4½ months old. Windy currently weighs 34.7 pounds, so she's expected to get a little bigger as she grows up. She has a medium-length coat that's black and brown with wonderfully alert ears. Windy is a happy girl who enjoys having people come to visit her. She likes to play with toys and thinks a nice hug is just a great idea. Being mostly Shepherd, she's also a smart girl, ready to learn lots of new things. She gets along great with everybody, and would love to join your family! You can submit your adoption application for Windy on our website: www.cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt. We have lots of wonderful pets available for adoption now, so please check them all out and then stop in to visit!

Do you have a love for cats and dogs and have been thinking it would be nice to help out at CCHS? Well, now's your chance! Whether it's a few hours a week, one day a month, or something in between, this is your opportunity to try it out. We are very much in need of volunteers! You can learn more and sign up on our website: https://www.cchs-petshelter.org/volunteer or email April at cchsoutreach1@gmail.com. Come join our CCHS volunteer family!
