Gilman residents will soon have an opportunity to share their ideas about the future of Gilman. Due to take place Friday Oct.11 and Saturday, Oct. 12, a Design WI event will unfold, made possible via a partnership between the village, school district, and University of Wisconsin Extension.
Friday will start things off with a tailgating party and community workshop gathering at Celebration Hall on Main Street from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., including multiple presentations from different community members along with three focus groups, sessions with senior citizens, business owners, and young people.
The information gathered Friday, Oct. 11 will then feed into a Saturday followup event at Gilman High School, where the Design Team will present hand drawn illustrations and plans for Gilman’s future based on feedback received, presenting these at 7 p.m. at Gilman School.
Space is limited to 200 people at Celebration Hall, with reservation tickets available through the village hall as well as Gilman School.
Free food will be available.
