Duane (Duke) M. Haselow, age 84, of Thorp (formerly Wautoma) passed away at Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center in Owen, on Thursday September 5, 2024.

Duke was born March 20, 1940 to Elmer and Helen (Weaver) Haselow in Stanley. He graduated from Owen-Withee High School where he participated in football, basketball and baseball. Duke loved being a Boy Scout, a camp counselor and as an adult a Boy Scout Den Master. He went on to attend UW-Eau Claire where he received degrees in Chemistry and Physics. On January 19, 1963, Duke married Joan I. Chilewski and later welcomed daughter, Terri and son, Joe. Duke worked at Uniroyal Tire Company in Eau Claire and Los Angeles returning to Wisconsin in 1974 to own and operate Waushara Abstract and Title Insurance Company with his wife Joan. Duke loved to camp, fish, hunt and watch his children’s sporting events. He also loved to travel, Hawaii, Jamaica, the Caribbean and South America were a few of his favorite places to visit. Duke was an avid Badger and Packer fan.

Duke was preceded in death by his wife Joan on January 30, 2006. Duke was reunited with and married Nancy Haas on October 12, 2007 in Thorp. In 2008 he retired to spend more time with Nancy fishing, traveling, and playing cards for hours with friends and family.

Duke is survived by his wife Nancy, daughter Terri (Tim) Beglinger, son Joe (Dawn Boland) Haselow, grandchildren Christopher (Kelly) Beglinger, Carl (Jill Rose) Beglinger, Kendra Haselow, Alex Haselow and great-granddaughter Collins Lee Beglinger. Duke is also survived by his step-daughter Cheryl Haas, step-son Jeff Haas and step-granddaughter Erin Gerber, brother Bob (Justine) Haselow, sister Linda (Al) Dallman, sister-in-law, Maryanne Haselow-Dulin, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Duke was proceeded in death by his parents, wife Joan, brother Chuck Haselow, brother Doug Haselow, sister-in-law Karen Haselow, sister-in-law Joan C. Haselow and brother-in-law Ken Dulin.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday September 14, 2024 at Hope Lutheran Church, Wautoma. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:30 a.m. The service will begin at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served following the service with the burial at West Holden Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Meadowview Country Club, Owen, on Saturday September 28, 2024 from 1-4 p.m.
