Gilman, Wisconsin saw excitement last week with a tornado touching down just west of town. The EF-0 tornado touched down Monday, April 13 at 5:38 p.m. Across a 10-minute period it traveled northwest for 3.54 miles, with peak winds of 80 miles per hour and maximum width of 20 yards, causing damage to barns and trapping a cow below a partial collapse. The cow was later freed and was not injured. A funnel cloud was reported in the Chelsea area north of Miller Lake, but no significant damage was found to confirm touchdown.
