Strong Bodies is an evidence-based, progressive strength-training program throughout the United States. Its goal is to improve the health and well-being of middle-aged and older adults by increasing access to structured, safe and effective strength training programs. Scientific research has demonstrated that exercise with weights will increase strength, muscle mass, and bone density in middle-aged and older adults. This will in turn, reduce the risk for numerous chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis and arthritis.
