It was a beautiful evening for the 12th Annual Cow, Plows, and Wine on Saturday, July 11 at Munson Bridge
Winery. The FFA sponsored the event to raise funds for the FFA and the FFA Alumni. The beautiful weather for the
community event led to a lot of people being there with over 200 people/groups registered for raffle numbers.
Some of the various activities spread around the tents included over 70 bucket raffles donated by local businesses,
a cash cow game, a Gun and Rifle raffle, a couple of Heads/Tails games, a 50/50 raffle, walk around raffles with
limited entries, tickets for the Tractor Raffle, and a live auction run by Tim Schindler with the help of Travis Engel,
Caleb Green, and the FFA officers. They also served a pulled pork dinner with the Winery serving beer, soda, and
wine. All of this was set to music provided by Rowdy Boys Entertainment.
The FFA also gave the Blue and Gold Award to Tom and Sheri Roland for the years of support for the FFA and the
FFA Alumni and in appreciation of letting them use their venue for 12 years to host Cows, Plows, and Wine. This is
Munson Bridge Winery’s final season, and the FFA has announced that next year they are partnering with the Owen-
Withee Lions Club to present Cows, Plows, and Wine 13 on Saturday July 10 at the Lions Pavilion in Withee. The
FFA’s next events are Breakfast at the Orchard on Saturday September 12 at the Black River Orchard and Family
Day at the Farm on Sunday, October 4.
