Where was Tornado Alley?
What happened to Art Johnson’s goose?
In the belief that not all history is wars and famine, Friends of the Old School and Norbie Pabich will be telling Owen stories Saturday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the Old School Gym, Owen.
FOSI very much hopes you will bring your stories, or questions that prompt some.
Other “important” stories might be:
In what main street building was there a basement bowling alley?
What or where is the Railroad Rose?
What snowmobilers raced across the water of the Owen Mill Pond and who won? When?
Where is Meeks Dam?
Was there a murder in the Woodland Hotel?
Where was the telephone booth on main street?
FOSI is compiling stories, serious and not so serious, for its Memories in Celebration booklet in honor of the City of Owen’s 100th anniversary. Please bring yours.
