Taking place before the regular board meeting October 8, a business meeting was held with a small group created to discuss advertising the Gilman Christmas Festival, scheduled for December 13.
Held each year in the community park, the village is looking to expand festival activities this year, with full details not out as of yet.
“We will be having more than just the Light Party in the Park that evening,” Gilman Village Clerk Candice Grunseth said of the festival ideas. “The library is hosting a movie at Grand Gilman Theater.” Also included among possible activities are a Craft Fair at Celebration Hall and specials at Vault Village, as well as a business decorating contest, silent auction and maybe gift wrapping as well.
More information is expected later this month.
