A Gilman resident is in the hospital after a motorcycle accident Sunday, August 31.
Bradlee Copenhaver, age 23 of Gilman, was critically injured when the motorcycle he was driving went into a ditch on the west side of a road in the Town of Eagle Point in Chippewa County.
The crash, reported Sunday, August 31 at 3 p.m., resulted in hospitalization for Copenhaver, transported from the scene in critical condition.
Chippewa County Sheriff Travis Hakes shared more on the crash details Wednesday.
“The Sheriff's Office received a report that a motorcycle had crashed into a tree in a yard. It appeared that Bradley had lost control of his motorcycle, drove into a ditch on the west side of the road and struck a tree. Bradley was transported by helicopter from the scene and remains in critical condition,” Sheriff Hakes said.
Following the Sunday crash a GoFundMe has been set up to help with Copenhaver’s recovery. The page entitled “Bradlee’s journey to recovery” can be found on GoFundMe by searching “Bradlee Copenhaver.”
