Harvey Weaver Brubaker, age 78 years, 0 months, 26 days of Thorp, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at his home.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at MeadowBrook Mennonite Church in Thorp. Curvin Brubaker, Marlin Brubaker, Jerry Brubaker, James Brubaker, Glenn Zeiset and Loren Brubaker will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024 at his residence (N15740 Sterling Ave) in rural Thorp.
The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen is entrusted with the arrangements.
Harvey was born on July 29, 1946, the son of Allen and Esther (Weaver) Brubaker in Ephrata, PA. He was united in marriage to Vera Hoover on December 12, 1968 in Ephrata, PA.
Harvey was a carpenter, farmer at one time and a woodworker. He enjoyed gardening and farming, especially growing crops.
Harvey is survived by his wife of 56 years, Vera; five children: Curvin (Arlene) Brubaker, Marlin (Lois) Brubaker, Eileen (Glenn) Zeiset, Jerry (Nancy) Brubaker and James (Anna Mary) Brubaker, all of Thorp; 43 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by 11 brothers and four sisters; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Esther Brubaker.
