The World According to Mark

I love stories. I love hearing stories about the battles between good and evil. I love the superhero movies and stories, the comics, all of it.  I've enjoyed the entire Marvel hero series of movies that has come out, even if at times I was left scratching my head on various things. All of which were tied up, to some degree or another. But in recent days of this article, something new came up that caught my attention and got me excited about the new movies.

It was revealed that there is a new big, bad villain being brought to bear. And the actor who is playing the villain surprised me... It is going to be Robert Downey Jr, back again, but as the bad guy! He said two things to the public when he was unveiled as this new villain. The first was "New mask, same task."  The second was "What can I say? I like playing complicated characters."  

Robert Downey Jr may not be a poster child of amazing and upstanding people. His life is one of many ups and downs... But in the last decade, the interviews with him outside of his work life have been really interesting. He's gotten involved in a martial arts to help him with his mental and physical battles, using that discipline to help him focus and cut through the mess of life and have some clarity. He's cleaned himself up in a number of ways. Is he perfect? No! But he's trying to use cinema to show that those with troubled pasts can still stand up and be something better. And that, to me, is commendable!

As for the upcoming movie planned to be released in 2026? Well, I'm looking forward to it! I wonder where things will all go in that story...  I will wait and see!
