Withee Days is coming to town, arriving at Withee Friday, June 13 through Sunday, June 15. The annual celebration sponsored by the Owen-Withee Lions will have mini golf and large yard games along with food, fun, and music all weekend long.
The fun starts this Friday, with kid’s games, a swing ride, and food and beer stands opening at 6:00 p.m. Come 7:00 p.m. co-ed softball starts, along with bingo in the Alfa Holm Pavilion. Music by Modern Throwback featuring Tom Burt will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., sponsored by Forward Bank.
Come Saturday morning the fun continues, the Owen-Withee FFA holding a Pancake Breakfast in the Vater building from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Owen-Withee Lions kids run will take place at 8:30 a.m., with an adult 5/10K run/walk at 9:00 a.m.
Also on Saturday, the second annual Withee Park Pickleball Tournament will take place, with a blind draw for partners at 9:00 a.m. Open to both men and women and limited to the first 16 players, the pickleball tournament is $5 per person with four games guaranteed. Trophies will go to the winning team. A partners tournament will take place at 1:00 p.m. and is limited to the first eight teams, with registration $10 per person and four games guaranteed. Continuing the Withee Days fun, Saturday will see a library book sale and local author presentation take place at the Withee Library from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Come 4:00 p.m. the food and beer stands will open, along with large yard games, a swing ride, kid’s games, and mini golf. Bingo will start at 7:00 p.m. in the Alfa Holm Pavilion, with music from Gone Sovereign featuring Kevin Henke from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, sponsored by Forward Bank.
The Coronation of the Owen-Withee Ambassador will take place at 9:00 p.m.
Come Sunday, there will be a community worship and praise church service in the Alfa Holm Pavilion at 10:00 a.m., with everyone welcome. A Charcoal Chicken Dinner will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., along with a pie and ice cream social at the same time, by the Holy Rosary Parish Council of Women.
Come 2:00 p.m. Sunday, the Withee Days parade will take place.
Winding up the fun Sunday will be the Cynor Classics Polka Band, playing from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Raffle ticket winners will be announced at 5:00 p.m.
