The Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials (WASBO) is proud to announce Jack Wendler, of the Owen-Withee School District, as the recipient of a $3,000 Student Scholarship, sponsored by Nexus Solutions and the WASBO Foundation.
This fall, Wendler plans to enroll at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse to complete his prerequisites for pharmacy school, with the goal of earning a Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A highly involved and well-rounded student, Wendler excels as a three-sport athlete and is an active participant in Forensics, FBLA, school plays, and the band. He is highly regarded in his community for his steady presence, hard work, and goodwill.
This $3,000 scholarship provides financial assistance to a graduating high school senior attending an accredited college or university (public or private). Wendler was awarded his scholarship certificate in conjunction with his district’s award recognition.
WASBO is the association where Wisconsin’s School Business and Operations Professionals Connect, Learn, & Lead! The association provides professional development for school business staff, fosters a network of support, and advocates for funding that ensures outstanding educational opportunities for all children in Wisconsin. The WASBO Foundation matching funds for this student scholarship are made possible by donations, WASBO Service Affiliate Sponsorships, WASBO Foundation Scholarship Golf and Hike Fundraisers, and other Foundation revenue-generating activities.
