Marlene M. Pietrzen, age 82, of Owen, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at the Marshfield Medical Center.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen. Family and friends are welcome from 11:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Withee. Live stream will be available for those unable to attend on the Maurina Schilling Funeral Home Facebook page or after the service anytime on Facebook or the website.
Marlene was born on May 19, 1942, the daughter of Orville and Ada (Huber) Taylor in Marshfield. She graduated from Medford High School. Marlene was united in marriage to Wally Pietrzen on August 27, 1960 in Stetsonville. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2022.
Marlene met Wally in high school playing in his band, “Wally’s Music-Aires”. She played bass guitar, accordion and keyboard. Marlene was a school bus driver, worked as a CNA at the nursing home, receptionist for the clinic and was a janitor at the school. She also enjoyed making wedding cakes and crocheting.
Marlene is survived by her son, Wally (Linda) Jr. of Eau Claire; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wally and a granddaughter, Amanda.
