It has been awhile since I've written an article, but couldn't pass up the opportunity to give the Owen Withee Blackhawks football team and coaches a huge congratulations on their undefeated and championship season. It's a thrill to see the kids accomplish the goal that they set out to reach. It was great to see the amazing community support throughout the entire season, and especially at the state game in Wisconsin Rapids. How fortunate this community is to have someone like Terry Laube and his staff to not only coach these young men in football, but also teach them what it takes to become future leaders. What a class act these coaches are. I would also like to congratulate Colton Paczkowski and the one-act play for their appearances at state as well. As mayor, it makes me very proud to have these coaches and student athletes represent our community. Hopefully this enthusiasm will carry over to the boys and girls basketball teams as well. Good luck on their seasons. Have a good week. Until next time.
