Questions surrounding the enforcement of a new ordinance governing the ownership of chickens and other fowl within Colby’s city limits were addressed at the city council’s regular monthly meeting held August 3. The council decided to send additional letters to property owners known to keep fowl with instructions to have their permit applications submitted by the end of August.

The Chippewa County Jail recently received a $500 donation of books from the Chippewa Falls Library. They also received a $5,000 donation from Walmart.
