At the Clark County Executive Committee meeting on September 29, the committee decided to apply for a Department of Administration grant to go toward courtroom renovation. The county is planning to remodel the Branch II courtroom in 2026, to change the layout and make it compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). It is expected to cost $385,000.
Abbotsford residents will have another set of stop signs to get used to after the city council on Monday approved the creation of a four-way stop at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Hemlock Street near the Abbotsford School District’s K-12 campus.

Bridget and Bill Ciolkosz of Ciolkosz Dairy in Thorp attended the World Forage Superbowl Award Luncheon at the World Dairy Expo in Madison on Wednesday, October 1. Ciolkosz Dairy was awarded a cash prize and plaque for placing first in the alfalfa haylage category. Ciolkosz Dairy also finished in the top 10 in several other categories.
Stanley Republican
Michael Fazendin was honored September 22 with a cake and plaque recognizing 40 years with the Stanley Fire Department. Fazendin joined the department in July 1985. His last day was September 25.
