During the April 28 Neillsville Commission on Public Works meeting, Dan Clough informed commission members the wheelchair swing at O’Neill Creek Trail’s park has been damaged via vandalism to the point it was beyond repair.

The Dorchester Village Board spoke at length Wednesday about how the financials of the village are handled and presented to the board, with trustees ultimately deciding to refer several proposed changes to committee for further discussion. Switching to a new software program to help with the village’s accounting, payroll and utilities was one of the primary topics of discussion.

A gas line strike on First Avenue last week sparked excitement after workers struck a two-inch gas line just west of the bus garage. Called in Tuesday morning at 11:31 a.m., the strike caused a shelter in place order for Meadowbrook Estates and nearby Stanley-Boyd Schools.
A 16-year-old student at Stanley-Boyd High School is being referred to Clark County for charges after weapons and ammunition were found in a vehicle Thursday, May 7 in the parking lot of Stanley-Boyd High School.
