The 17th Annual Mother’s Day Charcoal Chicken Dinner sponsored by the Owen-Withee-Curtiss Fire & EMS District was held on May 12. The gang began preparation for the annual dinner by making their homemade potato salad on the Thursday before the drive-thru event. The Lublin Legion once again grilled the charcoal chicken and delivered it by the roaster-full to the Owen Fire Station. The chicken dinners flew out of the station quickly that morning as at 11:30 a.m. the crew was all out of chicken and awaiting a new batch to be delivered.
