Fourteen members and their guests (total of 25 in attendance) of the O-W High School Class of 1960 gathered for their 65th reunion on Thursday, June 26, 2025, in Owen. The festivities began with a luncheon at the Meadowview Country Club, followed by an open house at the O-W History Center. A highlight of the reunion was classmates signing the History Center’s “2025 Happy 100th Birthday City of Owen” card, contributing heartfelt messages to commemorate the town's milestone. Rev. Nancy Amacher led the luncheon group in a pre-meal prayer. Each of the gathered classmates stood up and gave a little history of their life since high school. Caroline [Thompson] Pietrowski was hostess and event organizer. Everyone mingled and enjoyed each other’s company.
Classmates enjoyed reading and reminiscing as they examined Caroline [Thompson] Pietrowski’s five large three-ring scrapbooks dedicated to the O-W Class of 1960, as well as vintage 1950s Owen-Withee high school yearbooks. Additionally, three large framed memorial boards displayed the names and photographs of deceased classmates, offering a poignant tribute to cherished friends no longer present. The event was filled with laughter, nostalgia, and deep appreciation for the enduring bonds of their shared history.
Caroline [Thompson] Pietrowki has served as 1960 Class Historian for many years and has diligently tracked and recorded the history of the class over the years.
Special thanks to the generous hosts at the Meadowview County Club, and the O-W History Center for hosting the reunion and opening their venues to the group.
