Owen-Withee Elementary held its annual Ag Day on October 10 and students had a great time learning about agriculture. The event was hosted at the Wells Learning Center Farm near the school. Most students were transported between school and farm via wagon, but some of the older students who came to check things out walked. A number of tractors and other farm equipment lined the driveway, there were a few fun games both outside and under the tent, and a variety of animals in the barn. Ice cream and apples were also passed out to snack on. Dioramas were set up in the 4th grade classrooms at the school.
Elementary Ag Day provides an opportunity for the students to learn about all the opportunities available in agriculture and have fun doing it.
