This adventurous group took a ride down memory lane on a bus tour around Owen on Saturday, September 6 as part of Owen’s Centennial celebration. They learned about various sites, including the A.R. Owen house and other buildings associated with the John S. Owen Lumber Co., Master Package, Owen’s schools, St. Katherine’s Church, newspaper history, former city buildings, the Owen Fire Dept., the former clinic, bowling alley, theater, Ray’s Variety, Woodland Hotel, F&NE Depot, Mauel’s Dairy and Meadowview Golf Course. Use of the school bus was donated by Bogseth Transport LLC.
