“The Grinch” steals the show again

Seventy-three cars, eight more than last year, registered for the 12th Annual Owen Main Street Car Show on Saturday, August 17, 2024. The Owen Downtown Revitalization Committee and the Owen-Withee Area Chamber of Commerce had their hands full running the show which included music by Hobo’s DJ Service, train rides, bounce house, raffles, trivia, and a burger and brat stand featuring hamburgers and hot dogs donated by Hargot Family Farms and brats donated by Abbyland.

The entrance fee was $10 per vehicle and included a goody bag filled with products from local businesses. All who attended were encouraged to vote for their favorite vehicle in 20 different categories. This year’s best in show was also last year’s best in show - Pete Theis who traveled from La Crescent, MN, with his 1950 Custom Ford “The Grinch.” After the trophies were presented, Pete led the car show cruise to the Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center where residents were lined up outside to greet and cheer for all the Main Street Car Show participants.
