The American Red Cross Blood Drive was held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the Clark County Rehabilitation & Living Center in Owen. The drive collected a total of 60 units, surpassing the goal of 58 units. Donors reaching milestones were: Warren Hoover, 9 gallons; Merlin Nolt, 7 gallons; Lewis Martin, 5 gallons; Gregg Lencz, Alvin Hoover, Alma Burkholder, and Randall Martin, 3 gallons; Mark Chase, 2 gallons; Marvin Nolt and Karla Beachy, 1 gallon. Our first time donors were James Bohl, Annetta Zimmerman, Rachel Martin and Kaylene Snyder. Thank you to all who took time to donate!
Our dedicated volunteer workers for the blood drive were: Carol Oryszczyn, Sister Margaret Trzebiatowski, Shirley Brecht, Chriss Plautz, Linda Orlikowski, Sue Pries, Sue Sholes, Marilyn Borgeson, Shirley Lehr, Dottie Bjornstad, John and Linda Barna.
THANK YOU: Frenchtown Mennonite Church for the delicious cakes and bars, Clark County Dairy Promotion for the milk, Red Cross for the packaged treats, water and juice, Prevail Bank for napkins, Nasonville Dairy for the donation of the cheese trays and Clark County Rehab & Living Center for the use of their facility. Also, thank you to Enterprise Sentinel & Rural News, WKEB/WIGM and Central Wisconsin Broadcasting for their continuing support of the Owen Withee blood drive.
The next blood drive will be Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in the multi-purpose room at the Clark County Rehabilitation & Living Center in Owen. Please schedule an appointment to donate blood to meet the goal of 59 units. If you can’t keep your appointment, please cancel 24 hours in advance so someone else may fill that spot. You can use Rapid Pass to make appointments and also speed up the donation process. For appointments or to volunteer, please give me a call at: 715-229-4320.
