The Owen-Withee-Curtiss Fire and EMS District announced the delivery of their new ambulance on Facebook last week saying:
“The Owen-Withee-Curtiss Fire and EMS District would like to announce the delivery of our new 2025 Ford F550 Medix ambulance from Foster Coach Sales, Inc. out of Sterling Illinois!
“Weighing in at roughly 15,000 lbs. and 25 feet long, this delivery signifies the next step of OWCFD’s emergency medical care. This ambulance is the cab ahead system which allows for more patient compartment space and a more ergonomic layout to allow us to serve you better. Prior to this delivery OWCFD replaced ambulances every five years because of wear and tear on the chassis and patient compartment. With the purchase of this ambulance OWCFD now has three truck chassis which allows us to extend replacement out to seven years, meaning this apparatus will proudly serve the community for the next 21 years! Thank you so very much for the constant support that you, the citizens, provide us. That support allows us to continue to improve and replace apparatus and provide you fast and professional services!”
