Robert “Bob” A. Tomaszewski, 58 years old of Marinette, entered eternal rest on March 24, 2025, shortly after a cancer diagnosis. Bob was born on February 22, 1967, in Chicago, IL and grew up in central Wisconsin where he attended Owen-Withee public schools graduating with the Class of 1985.
Bob later pursued an education in welding, where he excelled to such a degree that he missed his own graduation ceremony because he was hired as a shipbuilder immediately. He loved music and concerts, the Green Bay Packers, road trips with family and friends, camping, fishing, and kayaking. If you knew Bob you also knew the Colorado Rockies, locations east and west of the Missouri River in South Dakota, and most parks along Lake Michigan shorelines (from Door County into the UP of Michigan). Lesser known is that he honored his mother and father by making birthday cakes if they happened to visit him on or around a birthday. He was a free spirit with a gentle heart - he loved to party, joke around and laugh, and his greatest joy was quite possibly the time he spent riding (and then washing) his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother Sandra “Sandy” L. (Pogodzinski) Smith of WI, his maternal grandparents, Leon & Grace Pogodzinski of Lublin, and his paternal grandparents, Andrew & Anna Tomaszewski of Owen, and uncles on both sides of the family.
He is survived by his father, Robert “Bob” J. Tomaszewski of WI, two brothers Kevin Tomaszewski of WI and Ross Tomaszewski of MN, sister, Lana Froemming of WI, two nephews, and a niece -– along with many cousins who shared in his joyful spirit.
Per Bob’s wishes, no service will take place. The family asks for your support and fond memories to carry on his legacy.
