Rosewater and guests rock at Munson Bridge

On Saturday, July 25 the Rock and Roll Band Rosewater performed with several guests including Eric Glaze, Katie Del Giacco, and Home Free’s Tim Foust at Munson Bridge Winery. Throughout the night, Truckin’ Good Food’s Food Truck and Josef’s Cheesecakes provided food. Wine, beer, and soda were available to purchase as well. The event was held 14 years after Rosewater’s first performance at Munson Bridge and all proceeds from the night would go to the Hands Foundation and Every Third Saturday. Eric Glaze opened for Rosewater and performed with them for several songs during their performance.
Scott Marrier spoke about their foundation and the history of how Every Third Saturday was founded. He thanked Tom and Sherri Roland for their support over the years before introducing his son and the rest of the band. Rosewater performed their show as a “Shotgun Wedding Reception” that involved the lead vocalists Jenika Marion and Darrell Marrier acting out their roles as part of the storyline. In lieu of admission costs, people were asked to make donations to Every Third Saturday in either money donations or donating clothes.
After the event, Marrier said they collected $3,028 in cash and estimated at least a thousand clothing items. Marrier said, “My trailer is full.” He estimated attendance for the event at 250.
Every Third Saturday offers free counseling for PTSD, free clothing, job training, and helps find homes for homeless veterans. Their primary mission is fostering hope and supporting post-traumatic growth for veterans. They fully believe there is no better medicine than being in community with other veterans and their families, rediscovering purpose and serving a cause which is greater than ourselves. Cash and clothing donations to Every Third Saturday can be made to Deb Marrier, (715)797-4757, or for credit card donations, online at their website everythirdsaturday.org.
