State Senator Jesse L. James (R-Altoona) has been honored by the Wisconsin Counties Association (WCA) with a “WCA Outstanding Legislator Award” for his exceptional work on behalf of county government during the 2023-2024 Legislative Session.
“Senator James has been a strong advocate for policies that support our communities and our citizenry, always while keeping in mind the taxpayers of Wisconsin,” said WCA President & CEO Mark D. O'Connell. “We are proud to present him with this award and are grateful for his leadership, vision and the close working relationship with our team on critical county issues.”
The “WCA Outstanding Legislator Award” is handed out biennially to a select group of legislators who have represented county interests in both the legislature and in their districts. These legislators have demonstrated leadership for counties on key issues, legislation and the state budget.
WCA represents the interests of county government both on the state and federal levels and is located in Madison, Wisconsin. For more information, visit www.wicounties.org.
