This past weekend, Spring Into the Arts returned to Clark County. While the clouds may have deterred people on Friday, Saturday turned out to be a beautiful day to support the local artists that were showing at various locations all over the county. The art-centered, annual event was on Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26 this year, both days ran from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. You can find the brochure and information on other events around the county at clarkcountywi.org.
Our local location that was showcasing artists and their artwork was the Old School in Owen. There were eight artists that showed at the Old School. The artists came from Fall Creek, Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, and Manitowish Waters, in addition to Greenwood and Owen. These artisans presented handmade jewelry, pottery, glass art, wood carvings, acrylic and oil paintings, and prints. Joseph Nycz of Greenwood showed his beautiful wood turnings and carvings including cherry burl bowls. Local Owen artist, Dustin Fredrick, showed his oil paintings and prints. In addition to the artists, the Old School also had a door prize drawing for those who stopped by.
