The Withee Village Board held a short meeting on Wednesday, December 4 to hold their budget hearing and accept their 2025 budget. No public was present.
The budget shows expenses and revenues of $634,335 up from $629,088 in 2024. This is a 0.83 percent increase. The tax levy will be $138,168, up from $134,918 in 2024.
The budget includes a 4 percent wage increase for Clerk Ellen Niemi and DPW Derek Schad. The budget sees a decrease for elections as there are only two in 2025. The health insurance plan was changed due to the current insurance coming in with an 18 percent increase. There were increases for police and fire. Debt service decreased due to a loan being paid off.
