The Owen Downtown Revitalization Committee met on Thursday, March 5 to begin planning for summer.
The Farmers Market will be held at Mill Pond Park again this year and will run on Saturdays from June 6 through September 26. The hours are 9 a.m. to Noon. Vendors can just show up or they can call Cindy at 715-503-5231 to express their interest.
Growin’ Owen will begin raising funds for the hanging baskets and planters soon. Check with city hall to get a form if you wish to donate. New this year will be an Adopt a Flower Bed program. Help is needed with weeding and you can Adopt a Flower Bed for a week, for a month, or all summer. People are also needed to help with keeping the flowers watered.
The 14th Annual Owen Main Street Car Show will be held on August 15. Updates will be posted on the Facebook page. Bring a car or just come to look at the over 70 cars that usually show up.
The Downtown Revitalization Committee is also looking for a new member. Please let them know if you are interested in joining.
