Abbotsford’s elected officials have agreed to downsize the water meter at the city’s fire hall – cutting the service charge by over $200 per month – after Central Fire and EMS representatives complained about having to pay close to $6,000 annually for a water line they say rarely gets used.
The Colby city council opted to move away from their current building inspector (Bob Christensen) and have Pat Kilty and his company Three C’s take over inspections of residential and commercial properties in the city at its most recent meeting on Tuesday.
The AbbyBank Foundation, Inc. is proud to announce a $37,000 grant awarded to the School District of Abbotsford. The funding supported the replacement of an aging playground set with new equipment located at the softball fields adjacent to the elementary school.

School District of Thorp superintendent Adrian Foster was recently honored at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference, which was held April 5-7. The Thorp FCCLA chapter officers chose to nominate Mr. Foster for the National FCCLA School Administrator of the Year, and as a result he was recognized on stage at Wisconsin’s FCCLA State Leadership Conference.
