Heaven gained a new angel. Georgina Sailer passed away suddenly on Monday, July 6 in Eau Claire at the age of
100. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born in Ramsay, Michigan in 1926 and spent
her childhood and part of her adult life in Michigan.
She attended the Marquette Beauty School in Marquette, Michigan and graduated with honors in 1945. In 1946
she opened her own beauty salon in Marenisco, Michigan, which she ran for 20 years. She married Anthony Sailer
in 1957, and they resided in Marenisco. There, her two children were born. She moved with her family to Owen,
Wisconsin in 1969. Owen was her forever home until she moved to Eau Claire in 2024 to be closer to her children.
There was nothing more important to her than her family.
She loved to garden, and had the most beautiful flowers and trees in her yard in Owen. Her yard was a haven for
birds, bunnies, and squirrels, and she loved her little animals and fed them every day. And could she cook! People
still talk about the delicious meals she would prepare. She also loved sewing, crafting, drawing, and embroidery.
She was preceded in death by her siblings: brother, John Cappo, and sisters, Mayme Dalbec and Madeline Lee
Hyppa, her mother and father: Anna and Charles Cappo, and husband Anthony Sailer. She is survived by her
children, Sandy Sailer (partner Rurik Hover) and David Sailer, and many nieces and nephews.
She was loved by so many people, and she touched the lives of everyone she met. She will be so greatly missed
by all those who knew her and loved her, and the world will be a little less bright with her not in it. Until we meet
again, mom. Best Mom Ever.
Per her wishes, a private memorial service will be held in the future.
