Another beautiful day for golfing at the Meadowview Golf Course. A clear sky, temperature in the 80s, a little humid with a slight breeze brought 17 fervent golfers to the weekly Tuesday Fun League. Course conditions again were great with fairways and greens in great condition. Four teams were formed headed up by captains Betty Rhyner, Bob Arimura, Richard Wachsmuth and Al Lulloff. Remaining members of the teams were formed by drawing cards. The game format this week was the standard Scramble. In this format each player tees off and the team selects the best shot to play for the next stroke. This process is continued until the ball is holed. Competition was keen with teams scoring 33, 36, 36 and 37. The winning team shooting a 3 under par 33 consisted of Bob Arimura, Wally Bogseth, LeRoy Wellman, Louie Young and Bruce Bednar. LeRoy Wellman’s shot on hole #2 ended up closest to the pin and Everett Rhyner made the longest putt on hole #9. The Fun League is held every Tuesday at Meadowview Golf Course during the spring, summer, and fall. Each week, we play a different version of the Scramble format, so everyone gets a fresh and exciting experience. Please get there early, by 9:30 a.m., to sign up and get assigned to a team. Tee-off is at 10:00 a.m. Come and enjoy a relaxed round of golf that’s sure to be fun and rewarding.
