The Village of Withee held a budget meeting on Monday, November 4. As part of the meeting, the new maintenance contract with Bay Towel was approved.
The Village will be changing health insurance plans for 2025. They will be going with a TeamCare Plan at a total cost of $49,285.60 for Clerk Niemi and DPW Schad. It will be a three year contract with the same price guaranteed for next year. The rate will rise slightly during the third year of the plan. To be part of the plan the village board had to voluntarily approve recognition with Teamster Insurance.
After going into closed session to discuss employee wage increases, it was announced that Clerk Niemi and DPW Schad will receive a 4 percent increase and part-time employee Dave Laabs a 1 percent increase.
The budget was reviewed and changes will be made for the wage increase and money will be put in the Donations account. A final budget meeting was held before the regular meeting on November 11. The budget hearing will be December 4.
