Classes are forming for the Strong Bodies program in Dorchester. Classes will be held at the Memorial Hall located at 175 N 2nd St., Dorchester. These classes will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. beginning February 4. This class will be 10 weeks long with the exception that there will be no classes February 13. The suggested contribution is $20, which is used to expand and fund the program to all locations across Clark County.
Strong Bodies is an evidence-based, progressive strength-training program throughout the United States. Its goal is to improve the health and well-being of middle-aged and older adults by increasing access to structured, safe and effective strength training programs. Scientific research has demonstrated that exercise with weights will increase strength, muscle mass, and bone density in middle-aged and older adults. This will in turn, reduce the risk for numerous chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis and arthritis.
Come join us for the fun as we return to in-person classes across Clark County in 2025. To register, please contact UW-Extension office at 715-743-5121.
