After 25 years of running the Withee BP convenience store at the corner of County X and T in Withee, Dee and Jerry Wells have sold the business. As of August 20, the gas station and convenience store is owned by Refuel Pantry.
Dee said they chose to sell now so they could put more time into their A&W restaurants. They currently own five, are hoping to open one in Merrill next year, and one in the Wausau/Weston area the following year. They have a 15 year lease for their current A&W in Withee, so will still be a very visible part of the community. Dee wants all her customers to know that she has appreciated their patronage over the past 25 years.
Refuel Pantry has its headquarters in Sun Prairie. They already owned over 50 gas stations with several of them being in small towns like Withee. They purchased Withee BP because they wanted to expand into this area. No major changes are expected immediately and all current staff who want to stay will still have a job. They are even hoping to create more jobs in the area. As a larger organization, Refuel Pantry also hopes to be able to bring a larger variety of products into the convenience store.
Welcome Refuel Pantry as the newest business in the Owen-Withee Area!
