The Blackhawks used a 50-point first half versus the Greenwood Indians on their way to their fourth consecutive win and their first in the Cloverbelt Conference schedule. The final was 81-28 as the Blackhawks played consistent basketball the entire night.
Seniors Winston Poehler and Jack Wendler scored the first eight points for the Hawks, mainly inside the lanes as they jumped out to an early 8-2 lead. They added another two with a nice backdoor cut by Clay Mueller and pass from Poehler. More scoring on the next few possessions as Colton Paczkowski and Talon Mueller recorded two assists each while setting up teammates for scores with one being a pick and roll between Mueller and Poehler. A kickout from Wendler to Poehler also netted a three-point basket, while Preston Fritz hit from mid-range and Talon Muller flushed a three. Isaiah Pyrchalla scored an easy two off a T. Muller pass and Steven Negron capped off the first half scoring with a rebound tip-in making it 50-10 at halftime.
More Blackhawks in the second half with an array of players mixing it up and playing. Poehler scored six straight points followed by a Clay Mueller three. Along with getting plenty of points on the free throw line, the team passed the ball extremely well. Fritz recorded three straight assists on three possessions, with two of them being three-pointers by Paczkowski. The Blackhawks finished the game winning 81-28.
The Blackhawks shot 44% overall from the field and held a huge 47-26 rebounding advantage.

Coach's Comments
We played consistently on both ends and were able to work on a few things that we have needed to sharpen up. The players continued to move the ball as we finished with 21 assists. Our defense stayed strong for most of the night. We continue to get guys experience as that is what is needed.
