UW-Stevens Point undergraduates honored for scholastic achievement
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point honored more than 2,300 undergraduate students for attaining high grade point averages during the spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year.
Full-time undergraduates who earned grade points of 3.90 to 4.0 (4.0 equals straight A) are given the highest honors designation. High honor citations go to those with grade point averages from 3.75 to 3.89 and honor recognition is accorded to those with grade point averages from 3.50 to 3.74.
Personalized certificates of scholastic achievement are sent to those who earned highest honors distinction.

Owen - Katie Erickson, Highest Honors and Kaylee Wagner, High Honors
Thorp -Rebecca Abramczak, Honors; Jacob Barth, Highest Honors; Taylor Boie, High Honors; and Ruby Kilmer, Honors

UW Stout Dean's List for spring 2024
The following students from the area have been named to the University of Wisconsin-Stout Dean's List for the spring 2024 semester. The award is presented to students who have a grade point average of 3.5 or above.
Owen - Tawny Ruppert, BS psychology; Tammy Stinson, BS early childhood education.
Thorp - Benjamin Boie, BS packaging; Bailey Jacque, BS real estate property management, BS hotel, restaurant and tourism management; Delaine Mathison, BFA interior design; Aaron Philson, BS computer and electrical engineering; Ava Teclaw, BS early childhood education
and Jazmin Winchel, BS psychology.
Students receive more than $502k in scholarships at CVTC
Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) students received 519 scholarships and microgrants recently totaling more than $502,000 when the CVTC Foundation hosted its annual Scholarship Awards Reception, recently.
The scholarships were given to incoming and continuing students and span a majority of the CVTC program areas. Award winners with scholarship names are listed below:
Greenwood - Jesse Susa, Zenas & Dorothy Beers Memorial Endowment Scholarship and Wisconsin Agri-Business Association Scholarship.
Owen - Angel Gonzalez, Aws & Sme - Jansen/Roth/Vanderloop Leadership Endowment Scholarship; Jessica Grape, Western Wisconsin Health Information Management Association Scholarship; Benjamin Riihinen, CVTC Facilities Maintenance Endowment and 3M Map Scholarship.
Thorp - Larissa Raether, CVTC Excellence Endowment Scholarship; Leanne Rafferty, Henry L. Schank Memorial Endowment Scholarship; Zachary Tieman, Chippewa Valley Facility Engineers Scholarship and Bartingale Mechanical Scholarship.
Withee - Alicia Colburn, Robert "ALLIGATOR Bobby" Federico Memorial Endowment Scholarship; Carter Klabon, Aiden Ozzello Gas Utility Scholarship and Xcel Energy Gas Utility Scholarship.
