The word is out that if you want to have fun at the Meadowview Golf Course, show up on Tuesday mornings before or by 9:30 a.m. for the Tuesday Golfing Fun League. This week, 20 enthusiastic golfers showed up and paid their $2 entry fee to compete for the available prize winnings. Six teams were selected and scattered around the golf course to play using the Scramble format with a twist. This week no player could have their drive used on consecutive holes. This adds an extra element of planning when preparing to play the next hole. With the course being cut and in excellent shape, all teams shot very well. Scores of the teams were 40, 37, 37, 36, 35 and 32. The winning team, shooting a 4 under par 32 consisted of captain Daren Underdahl with teammates Jack Wendler and Dennis Kieser. Hole prizes were won by Jack Wendler, longest putt on hole #9 and Gordon Schmidt being closest to the pin off the tee on hole #2. The Fun League is held each Tuesday at Meadowview Golf Course throughout the summer. Show up early, no later than 9:30 a.m. for registration and team selection with tee-off scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Come and enjoy a low stress round of golf.
