I'm excited to be starting my fourth year teaching Special Education, and this year I’ll be working with students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. For the past three years, I taught at Abbotsford Elementary, and I'm thrilled to continue doing what I love—supporting young learners as they grow and succeed.
Before becoming a teacher, I graduated from UW-Stout with a degree in Career, Technical Education & Training and worked for several years at Menards Inc. in the corporate world in Training and Human Resources. While that experience was valuable, I always knew my heart belonged in education. During college, I spent my summers working at Wisconsin Lions Camp in Rosholt—a camp for youth and adults with special needs—and I’ve continued to return each year ever since. It’s a place that holds a special place in my heart and truly helped shape my “why” for becoming a teacher.
I recently completed my teaching license through the Excellence in Teaching Program at CESA 9 and couldn’t be more excited to continue learning and growing with my students. Outside of school, I live in Spencer with my boyfriend, his two kids, and our two lovable dogs, Huckleberry and Maggie. I love to travel, cook/bake, golf, crafting, being outside in the summer, and watching baseball!
