Wow! What a jam packed weekend. It was a great turnout for the dedication of the mural on the O-W school in honor of Diane Herington. There were fun-filled events at the fairgrounds all weekend, including a spectacular fireworks show, along with food, beverages, games, rides and a parade. It was awesome to see how many people took advantage of the Wizard of Oz theme to make the parade a success. Prior to the parade, the O-W Area Historical Society presented their annual Golden Blackhawk Award to Norby Pabich who is very deserving of the award for everything he has done and continues to do for the city of Owen. After the parade, there was a remarkable turnout of Owen residents for the community picture to be printed in the centennial book. Thanks to Tim Petersen for taking this picture with his drone. We also took a historic picture of all five previous living mayors and myself to be printed in the centennial book as well.
Congratulations to Bill Devine who once again won the Club Championship at Meadowview Golf Course.
It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves throughout the weekend.
Until next time. Have a good week.
