New craft kits available in August
To celebrate the end of summer, we are offering a mixed bag of activities. You can build a superhero piggy bank, put together SpongeBob SquarePants, a shark, a bee honeycomb, an animal alphabet, color different superheroes, and more. And don’t forget the bag of treats that comes with each kit. And if you let us take a picture of a completed project, you get to claim a prize from our toy chest.
Cat In the Hat’s Great Summer Escape Room
The Cat in The Hat doesn’t want the summer to end, so with the help of his funny friends and a series of clever tricks and games, he plans to keep Summer here for as long as he can. You will need to navigate through some of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters and find the clues needed to beat them at their own games. Make your way to the very end of the Escape Room, and you will be rewarded with a prize from our toy chest. The Escape Room will run from Monday, August 19 to Saturday, September 14.
One Dollar a Bag Book Sale all summer long
Due to the success of our $1 a bag book sale for the month of July, we are extending it for the entire summer. You can still stuff a bag with as many books as you can fit from our Book Sale and buy them all for just one dollar at the Withee Public Library. New titles are being added weekly.
The Summer Reading Program is still going strong at the Withee Public Library
The Summer Reading Program runs from June 1 to September 3. Pick up one of our special bookmarks and get rewarded with a prize for each title you finish and then document on it. We’ve already handed out several bookmarks this summer, so don’t be left out. Swing by anytime and begin your reading adventure at the Withee Public Library.
Withee Library hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Notice: The library will be closed Tuesday, August 13 for local elections.
