The Thorp Courier
The Thorp Area Historical Museum will be running an exhibit on the small-town cheese factories that once dotted Thorp from the 1890s through 1940s. Relics of this bygone era along with first hand stories, pictures and articles will be on display.
Stanley Republican
After over 30 years of service, (Stanley) Water Operator in Charge Don Goettl will retire on May 31.
Meeting Monday, May 20 in the high school library, the Stanley-Boyd Area School Board of Education approved a five year Head Start contract, beginning July 1, 2024 and running through June 30, 2029. Among the indirect possibilities from the new lease is a new playground at the Boyd Early Learning Center put in by Head Start.
